The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe
Artwork by Beatrice Freddi
The arrival at the Usher House.
Roderick Usher, Madelinec Usher and the haunted house’s fate.
(in this image I tried to mix the dead girl’s escape from the grave and the elements of the tale the two friends tell each other while hearing all the noises she makes)
(with this one I wanted to capture the moment the moon appears from the crack in the house, and the difference between the real physical house falling to pieces and the spiritual and metaphorical one, the reflection in the dark lake, gaining strength and mystery).
